Our physical servers are under tight security in a state-of-the-art facility; including 24/7 staffing, biometric scanners, and more. All options include a software-based firewall. Hardware firewalls are available for private servers.

Virus Scanning

Similar to PCs, scans files and scans through the site for security gaps that could need to be addressed. This helps keep the site safe from malware, viruses, hackers, etc.

Managed Backups

Have data back-ups performed on a regular schedule (frequency) and retained long enough (duration) to go back and restore lost files; the best policy against data loss.

Database Optimization

$50/month

We can keep the system up and running quickly by cleaning up tables, maintaining indexes, and regularly improving execution time of individual queries. Website performance is easily hindered without efficient database interaction.

Premium DNS

Premium DNS protects your site (and visitors) by providing identity information quicker and more securely. This helps prevent web-traffic hijacking and data theft.

SSL (Secure Socket Layer)

Puts the “s” in ‘https’ and shows a padlock in most browser address bars - showing the additional security of the site. This secures transactions and encrypts data from end to end.

Dedicated IP Address

This helps mitigate DNS poisoning and other malicious traffic thwarting. Allows direct connection, supports SSL, and provides better access during domain propagation.

Shared Server Packages

The most affordable option. Similar to a college dormitory; limited resources shared among all tenants, but with some basic privacy. If a ‘bad neighbor’ makes trouble (either by accident or on purpose) it can lower your quality of service, or even system availability; with limited recourse.

Virtual Private Server Packages

Compromise between cost and quality, but speed varies on overall server load. A cheaper ‘portion’ of a private server - like a condominium: fewer tenants sharing some resources, pieces of resources are ‘reserved’ for each tenant - provides isolation from neighbors.

> RAID-1 [optional $42/month] improved data performance and reliability (real-time data replication).
